She is a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and the owner of Nolan Lighthouse Counselling in Victoria, British Columbia.Originally from Ireland, she is down to earth and authentic, with a sense of humour. She will work with you to 'unpack' what is going on in your life with patience and kindness. She came to Canada as a professor more than twenty years ago. She enjoyed helping students unravel their thoughts and varied beliefs. Now, as a clinical counsellor, she is doing the same, exploring clients' thoughts, feelings and actions related to anxiety, depression, stress, grief and loss and other life issues. Caroline enjoys helping people achieve new insights and possible ways of coping with challenges healthily. With extensive experience spanning over a decade, Caroline has worked for Alberta Health Services (University of Alberta Hospital, Royal Alexandra Hospital, Edmonton Kaye Clinic) and as a contractor with the Canadian Armed Forces, counselling and supporting First Responders, Medical and Health Personnel, Military Forces Members, and Educators. She is currently living in Edmonton but moving to Vancouver Island in a few months to the greater Victoria, British Columbia area. She will continue to see people virtually in AB when she moves, and will embrace a hybrid model of in-person and virtual client sessions in Victoria, BC, as is feasible. In her spare time, Caroline enjoys sports, travel, and walking the family dog, Scotty. |
